Match the screen currently in your vehicle

Choose by the original system—not the upgraded 12-inch screen. For F-150, 2015 uses No SYNC/SYNC1/SYNC2, while 2016–2020 uses No SYNC/SYNC1/SYNC3. Super Duty products show No SYNC, SYNC1, and SYNC3; Expedition shows SYNC1 and SYNC3 only.

Why Entry — Lincoln UI is unavailable: this factory system does not have a reusable SYNC3 APIM. Entry requires an existing factory SYNC3 APIM, so choose Ford Timeless Blue UI · Plug & Play or Ford Timeless Blue UI + SYNC4 Ready; both include the required programmed SYNC3 APIM. The required module and conversion hardware add $200.

Is this a SYNC3 12-inch upgrade?

Yes. It keeps the Ford SYNC experience while upgrading the display to the genuine Sharp 12-inch panel. Choose a Ford Timeless Blue UI package when a programmed SYNC3 APIM is required.

What does Plug & Play mean?

The selected kit arrives with the model-specific hardware, connections, and package programming. No wire cutting is required, although dashboard components still need to be removed and replaced during installation.

What does SYNC4 Ready mean?

SYNC4 Ready does not include a SYNC4 APIM. It uses a programmed SYNC3 APIM now. To upgrade later, replace that module with a compatible SYNC4 APIM and remove the ICE head unit; the installed 12-inch screen hardware stays in place. An ICE-supplied SYNC4 APIM is VIN-programmed. A module sourced elsewhere needs vehicle-specific programming, and older SYNC4 software may cause compatibility issues.

Why can Entry — Lincoln UI be unavailable?

Entry retains an existing compatible SYNC3 APIM. If the vehicle starts with No SYNC, SYNC1, or SYNC2, it has no reusable SYNC3 APIM, so a Ford Timeless Blue UI package with the required programmed SYNC3 module must be selected.

Can VIN decoding choose every option?

No. VIN data can identify the model and year, but it does not reliably identify the factory screen, dash color, or console layout. Confirm those selections visually with the photo guides.

How do I choose the color and console layout?

Use the dash photo guide to match Black, Silver, or Chrome Grey and Full Center Console or Front Jump Seat. Chrome Grey is common on Platinum, Lariat, and Limited interiors, but the photo is the reliable check.

Why does Front Jump Seat add $250?

Front jump-seat trucks require a different lower trim piece and configuration from trucks with a full center console.

How does APIM cashback work?

Eligible working SYNC3 navigation APIMs can receive up to $150 back and eligible non-navigation APIMs up to $100 after return and inspection. Approved cashback is refunded to the original payment method within 30 days after receipt and eligibility confirmation. It is not deducted at checkout.

Is the powered-on dash photo required?

No. It is optional, but recommended if you are unsure about the original screen, dash color, or console layout.

What if the kit is damaged in transit?

Send clear evidence of the shipping damage. After InCarElectronic confirms transit damage, we will ship a new replacement kit. Damage caused during installation is not covered by this promise.
